2026 Triathlon World Cups: Full Calendar
World Triathlon has confirmed the calendar official of the 2026 Triathlon World Cups, with a total of 19 events spread around the world and with Lanzarote – Costa Teguise as one of the highlighted venues at the start of the season.
The circuit will once again be one of the main pathways for triathletes seeking international points, experience in high-level competitions, and a springboard to the World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS).
A global and well-distributed calendar
The 2026 World Cups will begin in early March and run until December, with events in Europe, Asia, the Americas, Oceania, and the Middle East. This schedule allows athletes to plan their season with different options depending on their competition block, travel, and sporting goals.
The circuit combines established venues within the international calendar with newer ones, maintaining a balance between tradition and global expansion of triathlon.
Lanzarote, a key event at the start of the season
Among the first tests of the year, the following stand out: Lanzarote – Costa Teguise World Triathlon Cup, scheduled for March 14th 2026The Spanish event is located in an early stage of the calendar, making it a strategic opportunity to score points from the start.
Lanzarote is a popular destination for elite triathletes to train thanks to its climate, the demanding nature of its routes, and its organizational experience.
Its inclusion reinforces the Spain's presence on the international calendar and consolidates the island as a regular venue for top-level competitions.
Europe maintains a leading role
Europe will once again be a central part of the World Cup calendar, with events in France, Hungary, Italy, and Spain, as well as historic venues like Tiszaujvaros and Rome. These competitions typically attract a large number of European triathletes and a very high level of competition, especially in the mid-season events.

The 2026 calendar also includes several events in the Americas, with races in Canada, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru and Chile, reinforcing the growth of triathlon on the continent.
Asia will have multiple locations in China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia, while Oceania will once again be present with Tauranga, in New Zealand.
The year will end in December with the Dubai Women's World Cup, a regular event in the final stretch of the season.
