WTCS 2026: Full World Triathlon Series Calendar

The Triathlon World Series (WTCS) 2026 already have calendar official, with ten events spread across three continents and a Grand Final to be held in Pontevedra (Spain) at the end of September.

The World Triathlon Championship Series will once again bring together the world's best triathletes in sprint and Olympic distance races, where every point counts in the fight for the world title.

A demanding season, with long journeys, very defined blocks and a finale that promises maximum tension.

What are the WTCs and why do they define the season?

The WTCS represents the highest level of short-distance triathlon internationally. Here you'll find current Olympic champions, world-ranked athletes, and up-and-coming talents looking to establish themselves among the elite.

Unlike other circuits, races are often decided by the smallest details: poor positioning in the water, a break on the bike, or a slow transition can leave you out of the leading group.

Therefore, consistency throughout the year is key to reaching the Finals with a realistic chance.

This is how the WTCS 2026 begins: March, April and May

The season will start at the end of March in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), a venue that is already a regular on the calendar and known for its fast circuits and demanding weather conditions.

From there, the circuit will move to Samarkand (Uzbekistan) In April, a stop that continues to solidify its place on the international calendar. In May, one of the classic events of the year will arrive. Yokohama (Japan), one of the most technical and tactical races on the circuit.

This first block usually serves to set trends: who is coming back from winter in good shape, who needs more time, and which teams have several athletes in the leading group.

Europe takes center stage in summer

The heart of the 2026 WTCS season will be in Europe. It will arrive at the end of May. Italy, with proof in Algherofollowed by Quiberon (France) in June.

July will be one of the busiest months, with two highly anticipated stops. First Hamburg (Germany), one of the fastest and most spectacular races on the circuit, and a few days later London (Great Britain), which returns to the WTCS calendar as a World Series venue.

This European bloc is often decisive, as many athletes reach their peak form here and mistakes begin to take their toll on the overall ranking.

The final stretch before the world title

After the European summer, the WTCS enters its decisive phase. The event will take place in August. Weihai (China), a venue already known for its difficulty and for coming at a key time of the year.

In September, before the Finals, the circuit will pass through Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), a race that often serves as the final exam for those who need to score important points.

Pontevedra will host the WTCS Grand Final 2026

The grand finale will come From September 23 to 27 in Pontevedra (Spain), headquarters of the World Triathlon Championship Finals 2026.

During that week the world champions will be decided, with elite, under-23, junior and age group events.
