Hydration and supplementation strategy for a Cros Duatlon, by Victory Endurance

These guidelines are only recommendations that each person must adapt to depending on their physical condition

In this article our collaborator Victory Endurance gives us a strategy to correctly perform hydration and supplementation in a Cross Duathlon

BEFORE STARTING:

ISO-ENERGY: It gives you the last and necessary intake of carbohydrates, minerals and water just before the competition. Very technical formula that provides: carbohydrates of different glycemic indices (different speeds) to maintain an adequate concentration of glucose in the blood, lost mineral salts and a plus of Glutamine (anti-catabolic amino acid, delays fatigue and reduces the risk of infection). Drinking a drink like Iso-Energy is essential to improve performance.

GELES, BARRITAS AND GUMMIES: the contribution of carbohydrates is essential, especially if we have not been able to load them before the test, for this we offer several options:

Nature's Energy bar 45-30 minutes before the start.

If you prefer another format, you can take the Energy Boost Gummies 30 minutes before.

A gel (Energy Up !, Energy Boost with or without caffeine) immediately before the start and not at another time to avoid hypoglycemia.

DURING:

ISO-ENERGY: essential to avoid dehydration during physical exercise. Drinking a drink like Iso-Energy is essential to improve performance.

BARRITAS OR GOMINOLAS: For the bike part you can take advantage of eating something solid, choose the option that you like best: the Energy Boost Gummies, remember that 4 are equivalent to a gel, or the Nature's Energy bar.

GELES: Take advantage of the transition to take one. You can choose any of our range: Energy Boost with and without caffeine, Energy Up! o Pump gel.

AFTER COMPETITION:

TOTAL-RECOVERY: Essential product to begin both energy and muscle recovery immediately after physical activity. It provides high glycemic index carbohydrates, essential amino acids and glutamine, with a 3/1 ratio between carbohydrates and proteins that according to studies is the ideal combination to optimize post-exercise recovery. Also with a plus of vitamins and minerals. Taking a product like Total-Recovery is necessary to optimize recovery.
