Fernando Alarza in Paris against the world elite
The triathlete from Talavera de la Reina –Junior World Champion 2010- will compete on Saturday 7 in Paris, in the heart of the city, in the event that scores for the French Club League. Fernando plays for EC Sartrouville, a team in which he has no less than the Brownlee brothers and Noya as teammates. It will be on the Sprint distance (half of the Olympic) which will mean the start of his second part of the season after having made a two-week break in June to recharge his batteries physically and mentally.
Fernando is more than satisfied with what he has achieved so far, with the Ibero-American title in January and his appearances with the senior team in the European Championship in April and various events in the World Series and the World Cup. In the end he could not enter the fight for the 3rd Olympic place, since in 2011 due to a broken clavicle he could barely take points, but he more than demonstrated his level being the third best Spanish in Israel and the second in the World Series in Madrid, beating in both appointments the two who played that third place: Josemi Pérez and Iván Raña.
After Paris, where the level will be similar to any appointment of the world, will focus on training in the face of their great goals at the end of the season. Some in absolute category: World Distance Sprint in Stockholm August and National in Pontevedra September; and the "triple crown" in Sub23: National, European (also in September in Águilas, Murcia) and World in New Zealand at the end of October.
