LaLiga soccer in Spain is suspended

First and Second Division competitions are postponed for two days

LaLiga has decided postpone the First and Second Division competitions for two days  football as a preventive measure against the spread of coronavirus, which is already a global pandemic.

Thus, the dates 28 and 29 of the gold category and 32 and 33 of the silver category are postponed, although it is unknown when these matches will be played.

According to the economist, this decision has been made after a three-way meeting between LaLiga itself, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE).

The non-professional leagues were already suspended yesterday

The RFEF suspended all non-professional football and futsal matches on Wednesday and postponed the final of the Copa del Rey.

With this measure, he invited LaLiga to participate in its coronavirus monitoring commission, which, in practice, translated as an invitation for the Spanish football association to imitate its measures.
