El HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Málaga, which will take place on October 18, 2026, proposes a fast and flat course, with the sea as the main feature and a spectacular finish on Larios Street.


IRONMAN has released the official video and the first full details of the course. IRONMAN 70.3 Malagaa test designed to combine performance, fluidity and urban experience in the heart of the Costa del Sol.

The race opts for an accessible format for both beginners and experienced triathletes, with less technical sectorsa whirlpool bath, very compact single transition and a layout designed to maintain the pace from start to finish.

A fast triathlon in a 100% urban environment

The circuit is designed as a route fast and mostly flatSurrounded by sun, sea breeze and constant excitement, from the start at the port to the finish on one of Spain's most iconic streets.

Swimming: protected waters in the Port of Malaga

The swimming segment consists of 1,9 km in a single loop at the Port of Malaga.

It's a completely protected environment, with calm waters and good visibility, ideal for swimming with confidence from the very first meters. The start will be inside the port, with spectators nearby and an immediate transition to the Paseo del Parque.

It's a career start designed to be safe, fluid and controlled, something especially valued by those who are new to middle distance running.

Unique and very compact transition

One of the strengths of IRONMAN 70.3 Malaga is its single transition zone, located in the Park Walk, just a few meters from the water.

It's an ideal route for riding in a aero position, maintaining constant power and managing effort well before the run.

Footrace: pace and atmosphere all the way to Larios Street

The final half marathon takes place on a course of 21,1 km in two lapscompletely flat, by the Malagueta seafront promenade.

Palm trees, the sea, spectators, and a great atmosphere accompany the athletes throughout the course, which culminates in a spectacular finish at the Larios street, the commercial and social heart of Malaga.

The finish line is designed as a genuine moment of celebration, with constant entertainment and an urban environment that amplifies the feeling of a major event.
