What are the benefits of having a good pre-treatment and post-competition?

Just a few days ago we detailed the chronicle of the race carried out by the Spanish triathlete Victor del Corral, one of the best triathletes in the world in multisport and long distance, where he was proclaimed champion of the Altriman event in a French village located in the eastern Pyrenees and that this year fulfilled its 4ª edition.

David Serra Fisioterapia, a collaborator of Triathlon News, accompanied our athlete in this event, and soon he will also do so in the Alpe d'Huez Triathlon, one of the toughest triathlons in the world.

David What will be the next appointment where you will be with Victor del Corral? And what do you think are the benefits of having a good pre-treatment and post-competition? What kind of treatment do you recommend?

“It will be next July 25 that we will be in Alpe d'Huez to treat Victor del Corral and Albert Moreno after the Triathlon. The idea is to recover as soon as possible from the tremendous effort that this type of test entails for the body of a triathlete. In the case of Victor del Corral, we will have 20 days to recover 100% for the Embrunman, which is undoubtedly one of the toughest triathlons in the world. But it is not only important to recover well, it is also vitally important to get ready for the big competitions. For this we carry out a very special energy treatment that is carried out a few hours before the test, and which prepares the body and mind to face the test with the maximum possible concentration and energy. The mission of the Sports Physiotherapist is to help the athlete achieve his sporting challenges, but without a doubt the great champions are on their own merits."
