Act of support for the "respect the cyclist" campaign

Next Sunday, February 10 at 9.30:XNUMX a.m. in the Riera del Capaspre, a meeting of cyclists has been called, in support of the campaign RESPECT THE CYCLIST.

The act shall consist of read a manifesto followed by a minute of silence in memory of the missing companions on the roads.

We will have the presence on this occasion of the authorities of the Corporation of Calella.

This initiative, wants to remind drivers and drivers that in order to overtake a cyclist it is necessary to respect a safety distance of one and a half meters. Not respecting this minimum safety distance in overtaking cyclists can cause serious accidents.  

Once completed the institutional act, a voluntary departure of cyclists who want to try the new circuit of bike of the Half Challenge- which will be held next Sunday, May 19 in Calella- and which this year incorporates the Montnegre Corredor and Montseny natural parks.

Challenge Barcelona-Maresme, is sensitive to the dangers run by triathletes in the practice of their sport, in this sense gives its support to the initiative "Respect the cyclist" and invites all of them to participate in it and make the maximum dissemination of the act. 

We want this Sunday, Calella, to be the meeting point and become a symbol for all athletes who give their support to the campaign. We wait for you!
