Alejandro Cañas and Ana Carvajal triumph in the II Acuatlón Velá de Triana by Bikila Sevilla

One more year, we remember our partner Íñigo Vallejo in the aquathlon celebration that during 5 years is coming to him in his city, always thanking his whole family for the welcome we have and we will always have his part.

With a participation of more than 200 triathletes, the I Acuatlón Velá de Triana by Bikila Sevilla has once again managed to carve a niche among the most important events in the province of Sevilla, as well as unique since the streets of Triana make any event their own.

This year, the participation has been very diverse, bringing together triathletes from all over Andalusia, proof of this is the first qualifier from Málaga and the first female also from Málaga in the federated category, as well as an 37% of participants from outside of Sevilla.

The test of non-federated gave the kick-off to the 11h with the most numerous test in participants, since the triathlon in Seville is growing at an unstoppable pace and more and more are those who want to start in this sport, being Javier Herrera Head in male category who raised the goal tape and in feminine Mª del Mar Escaño Buzón.

In the federated category, the test began at 12h being led in the men's category practically by Pedro Miguel Serrano from Córdoba. After a first spectacular foot race by Pedro Miguel Serrano, followed by Pedro Lumbreras and a persecuting group, when they left the water the positions changed, where Alejandro Cañas came out at the feet of Pedro Miguel Serrano, competing between the two for a sprint of spectacular finish. . In this way the final classification solved the first place for the Malaga Alejandro Cañas, second Pedro Miguel Serrano from Cordova and third Pedro Lumbreras from Seville.

In the women's category there was also a clear winner, when Ana Carvajal from Malaga arrived first by jumping into the water, increasing little by little her difference with the Málaga-born Irene Cabrera and the Seville-born María Sánchez, both 2ª and 3ª respectively.

Congratulations to all the participants who today have felt the streets of Triana and the Guadalquivir River as a holiday, sports and family, since the atmosphere has been of incredible luxury.

Thank the collaboration to the District Triana, Local Police, Civil Protection, Lipasam, Bikila Sevilla, Emasesa and Servicaixa and all the people of the Triana neighborhood.
