More of 400 athletes will participate in the Cheste Circuit on Saturday
More than 400 athletes will participate on Saturday in the Cheste Circuit Duathlon, which has become one of the most popular events in the calendar of the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community.
The sporting event, which will begin at 9: 00 hours, will count in this edition with several tests according to the level of the participants. The Sprint event, which will start with a five-kilometer run, will continue with a cycling segment of 20 km. and it will conclude with a new walking race of 2,5 km., it will be the busiest.
In fact, more than 250 athletes will take the start of a competition, which has become usual the weekend before the World Motorcycle Championship at the Ricardo Tormo circuit.
Later races for school categories and flash distance will be played with the presence of 200 duathletes.
Rafael Redondo, president of the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community, appreciated the good moment that his disciplines are going through.
"We have seen in recent years that the triathlon is in very good health but, once again, we have verified that the duathlon is also a discipline with a large number of followers in our autonomy", he indicated.
“We are going to achieve one more year that the Duathlon of the Cheste Circuit is one of the most extraordinary events on the calendar. It was a great success to reach this agreement with the Circuit to enjoy a test of these characteristics”, added Redondo. EFE
