The international Ivan Tejero confirms his presence at the ICAN Málaga 2013

Iván Tejero He is one of the leading triathletes on the national scene. International with Spain in 2005, 2008 and 2010, this adopted Malaga native has in his list of achievements the triumph in the Middle Ironman from Guadalajara or in the Half Ironman Titan Sierra de Cádiz.

Now he is preparing for another big goal, to participate in the next edition of the ICAN Málaga 2013, which will be held in the Andalusian capital 7 April next year.

- How is the season presented in 2013 and what are the main sports objectives?

This coming year I will continue trying to settle my pending account with the Ironman distance, as well as get my qualification for the Ironman of Hawaii. In addition, I will participate in the ICAN Málaga and try to be present in the ICAN Valladolid.

-Why have you chosen the ICAN Málaga test during your sports season?

I have had every ICAN event in mind, always looking forward to competing in them. This year, with the triathlon taking place in the city where I have my home and where I have trained for so many years, I could not resist adjusting the calendar and compete under the protection of close friends who will be there cheering you on without fail.

-What references do you have and what do you expect from a test of the ICAN franchise ?. What references do you have of previous tests?

Last year I was in one of the Training Camps held in Mallorca by the ICAN franchise and I could see how the treatment for the triathlete was excellent. This is a fundamental premise and, from what I have read and corroborated by people in my training group, the quality of these tests leaves no room for doubt.

- What can Malaga offer in sports and tourism for triathletes who want to go to the aforementioned competition?

Malaga is a city with a magnificent climate and with all kinds of facilities such as swimming pools, athletic tracks or mega sports centers that do not lack anything.

For outdoor training, there are several boardwalks that are a delight for the race on foot, as well as roads for cycling routes of all kinds visiting beautiful villages and places.

Regarding leisure and tourism, it has large shopping centers, magnificent beaches, as well as a historic center where you can walk or go shopping. A place that will not leave anyone indifferent.
