Uxio Abuín, tenth in the Holten Premium Triathlon European Cup
This Saturday 5 of July the Dutch town of Holten has hosted the European Cup of Premium Triathlon, in which Uxio Abuín has achieved the tenth place in the male elite category. On the other hand, Miriam Casillas has reached the 13ª square in females.
The triathletes have faced a first segment of 1,5 km of swimming by the lake of Domelaar, followed by 40 km for a tour of five cycling rides through the center of the Dutch town, integrated by two very technical slopes and crossing the national park Sallandse Heuvelrug. Finally they have made 10 km of foot race, divided into four laps of 2,5 km each.
In the men's competition the triumph has been for the Russian Dmitry Polyanskiy, who has been accompanied on the podium by the German Christopher Hettich And French Simon Viain, second and third respectively.
On the other hand Abuín has been the best classified of the Spaniards, entering the Top-10 final. After him, Carlos Galisteo has finished in 38ª position; Jools Beardon has qualified in 48º place; Luis Gutiérrez, 50º and Arturo Galián has closed the Spanish participation in 56º place.
In females the local triathlete Rachel Klamer the victory has been won, followed by the gala Audrey Merle, who has won the silver medal. While the triathlete from the Republic of South Africa, Kate Roberts the bronze medal has been hung. On the other hand, the only Spanish in contention, Miriam Casillas He has obtained the 13ª place in the final classification, standing out in the section of race on foot.
