6 months in jail for recklessly overtaking a cyclist

The driver made a overtaking to 90 km per hour on a road from Lleida when leaving the highway.

According to Atlas agency reports the driver of 85 years has just been sentenced to 6 months in prison and 2 years and 2 months of withdrawal of the card.

Thanks to the sports camera that recorded the license plate. the squire moses located the offender. The prosecution requested 9 months in prison instead of the 6 to which he has finally been convicted.

In general, mortality from traffic accidents rose by 9,7% last year on interurban roads in Catalonia, where the number of motorists killed especially shot up, increasing by 31%, from 35 to 46, and almost that of cyclists tripled, from four to 11.
