70.000 kilometers of bike lane in Europe

The Eurovelo project, created by the Europe federation of cyclists, will join 15 routes in 46 countries, where they hope to have the project completed for the 2020 year.

 

Cycling is one of the most used means of transport in several countries in Europe, where 20 millions of bicycles were sold last year. Countries like France, Holland, Germany, England use this means of transport more and more.

The Eurovelo project, created by the Europe federation of cyclists, links 15 routes in 46 countries, where they hope to have the project completed for the 2020 year.

The RS1 has 5 meters wide and has no crosses or steps zebra

Eurovelo divides the routes into 3 different types, complete routes with 50 km of route, routes suggested by users that are not complete and hypothetical routes between two points.

The Radschnellweg (RS1) motorway

 

Today, the first highway for cyclists, La Radschnellweg (RS1) is a real motorway for bicycles that currently has a route of 21 km, between Essen and Duisburg, in the heart of the Ruhr. But in 2020 10 will join ten cities where almost 6 millions of people live.
