A tourist has rammed the victim on the N-420 road, in Teruel

A 43-year-old cyclist, JLAS, has died this Sunday after being hit by a car at kilometer 584 of the N-420 highway, as it passes through Teruel, as reported by 112 from Aragón. "Unfortunately, another cyclist has died after being run over," the general director of the DGT, Gregorio Serrano, immediately lamented. The victim was a resident of the municipality of Cella and was traveling with a colleague, who was slightly injured, as added by the Government Sub-delegation.

This year at least 27 cyclists have already died. "Among all of us, we have to put an end to this nightmare," Serrano stressed this Sunday. According to the latest data published by Traffic, A total of 67 cyclists died in 2016 in a traffic accident on urban and interurban roads, eight more than the previous year.

In addition, the number of accidents with bicycles involved has doubled on the roads in just seven years: it has gone from 1.082 in 2009 to 2.013 in 2015. An increase that has been reproduced within the cities: evolving from 2.387 to 5.173 in the same period.
