As reported by Majorcan newspaper, Anais MB, the young man who last 5 ran over nine cyclists and he killed one of them when he was driving drugged in Capdepera, he is already at liberty. His lawyer deposited yesterday the bail of 10.000 euros set last week by the judge and the defendant left the penitentiary in the afternoon.

The suspect, from 28 years, He has spent 16 days in pretrial detention accused of crimes of homicide y imprudent injuries and against road safety for testing positive for cannabis after the accident.

In addition to the bail, the judge has imposed other precautionary measures to minimize the risk of flight and criminal reiteration. While the instruction of the cause lasts, Anais MB is prohibited from driving and leaving Spain, for which the passport has been withdrawn, and the 1 and 15 days of each month must appear in court.

The young woman iThe 7 of April was unconditionally imprisoned, two days after the multiple hit-and-run, after being arrested and placed at the disposal of the Manacor duty court. The magistrate justified her imprisonment due to the "unusual severity" of her recklessness and her record for driving under the influence, in addition to the lack of documentary evidence of her work and family roots in Mallorca.

Last Thursday, the judge who has taken the inquiries, heeded the request of the prosecution and defense attorney, Miquel Àngel Ordinas, to establish a bond of 10.000 euros for the girl was released. The young woman is accused of having run with her Porsche Cayenne to a squad of cyclists around 9:30 in the morning of the 5 in April. One of the athletes died that night in Son Espases and another eight suffered injuries of varying consideration. Anais MB tested positive for cannabis after the accident, a result that has already been confirmed by the Civil Guard laboratory. She maintains that she had not used marijuana that day, although she admitted having smoked a joint the night before.

The defendant had been sentenced to one year and one day of withdrawal from the driver's license a few days before the incident for testing positive for cannabis at a control in Sant Llorenç in March of 2015. The sentence, however, had not been executed when the incident occurred and the young woman still had permission.
