The hour of the siesta by Felipe Gutiérrez: "We are going away from farra"

Felipe Gutiérrez says goodbye to the year with 12 wishes for the 2016

I have little desire this afternoon to write a column but my commitment to Triathlon News tells me that I have to write something.

I have not been able to nap, so few things bother me on the eve of the end of the year. We will have to let at least this Thursday rest those who normally get involved with them for some reason and not on a whim.

The truth is that there are so many things that go wrong in the sports scene of the federations that if I hit a kick in the air such problems come out as acorns. And it seems that few people care. Ah my god as are the federations, no matter where you look all goes and having a friend in the Sports Council do not worry that one way or another you fix the mess you have.

I get an article that I think you should read, is the harsh reality of federated sport, here things start to fit, the federative deficits and ... you know what happens? ... nothing happens.

You have to enter this link and read THE SPENDING OF SPANISH SPORTS by Jose Luis Escañuela from El Confidencial http://www.elconfidencial.com/deportes/2015-12-26/el-saqueo-del-deporte-espanol_1125265/

You will see the face that remains on you, you will see how stupid we are, you will see that everything or almost anything goes and as some say, that is only part of the problem. It seems that the allegations of corruption and electoral fights are the most heard. But when will someone to supervise these characters arrive at the Superior Sports Council?

The best thing is that today we take the grapes or whatever corresponds and ask 12 important wishes for our lives, for our sports, for our athletes.

That 2016 is that year in which after Rio (before no president leaves) there is a federative regeneration in all or most of the sports and of course in the Superior Council of Sports, that things change for the better, for the better.

Before eating the grapes you have to think about those 12 wishes and then enjoy the party. "Vamos de farra", we go on a revelry, yes, do not drink if you are going to drive and also remember that the 1 day you have to train, something must be done.

12 wishes, one with each grape? Tradition tells us that this started at 1882 when the bourgeois class used to drink champagne and eat grapes during New Year's Eve dinner.

Although others say that at 1909 there was a good harvest of grapes and the producers managed to sell the product by selling them as "the lucky grapes".

We go with the desires and with those GRAPES OF LUCK, not only mine but of all.

1º That our families are well, our children, couples, grandchildren, etc. ... are phenomenal and enjoy good health.

2º That our work be fruitful throughout the year and that we improve every month.

3º Let our friends and also our enemies have a year full of luck and happiness. May my friends continue to be so and my enemies, for whatever they want, they will not be happy as long as they are our enemies.

4º That all people can have a home, that they can live indoors and eat hot every day.

5º That the children of the people with whom we do not relate can study, be trained and that in the future they can have work and enjoy life.

6º It is enough with wars, that people can live in peace and find their place to live.

7º That we can all respect people with some type of disability, understand them, understand them and know how to live with them without distinction of any kind.

8º Let there be no sexist violence ever again, stop those "maneuvers" against integrity.

We go with some of sport ..., although we could continue:

9º That corruption and doping do not enter the sport, that the athletes are respected and they respect the rules and regulations.

10th That our Spanish athletes are at the top of the world scene and in the case of triathlon that Javier Gómez Noya and Mario Mola get a medal each in Rio.

11º That all people have access to sports, to physical education in schools as the beginning of a model of a person who lives with healthy habits and also knows how to transmit them.

12º I would say something to the politicians, but I will ask for myself and for all those who know you: Let us touch a little bit in the lottery. A bit of selfishness is fine ..., is that there are no more grapes.

HAPPY 2016, see you next year, we will see if next week the Three Kings (or the Reyas Magas) bring us something and although we have been good we are satisfied even with coal.
