800 triathletes take the city of Seville

The II NutriSport Half-Triathlon of Seville, third test of the Europa FM Circuit, seeks to register the name of its winners.

Today, at around seven thirty in the afternoon, we will know who is the first to cross the finish line at the CAR de la Cartuja. Also, this year with the double prize that the test is Championship of Andalusia in the medium distance mode (half Ironman).

With the absences of Josemi Pérez y María Pujol, winners last year, the test will inscribe the name of two new times. In the list of favorites in the male category, the malagueño appears Victoriano Raso (champion of Andalusia aquathlon, among other things) and the Sevillian Pedro Lumbreras, winner at 2012 of the Puerto de Sevilla Triathlon. Together with them they will also be fighting for important positions Juan Salvador Díaz o Ramón Vallés. In the female category Beatriz Jiménez She is the great aspirant to raise her arms as a winner. Not in vain, would revalidaría also the title of champion of Andalusia achieved last summer in the Cordovan town of Posadas.

This hard test, under the modality of half Ironman, will start the 15h30 from the High Performance Center in the Guadalquivir River. After swimming 1,9 kilometers, the triathletes will pedal during 90 kilometers through the municipalities of La Algaba, Alcalá del Río, Santiponce, Salteras, Gerena, Guillena, Burguillos and Seville; finally they will run 21 kilometers (half marathon) through the Isla de la Cartuja to finish in the CAR.

In spite of being only its second edition, the organizers had to close registrations when arriving at the 800 triathletes, to guarantee the safety of all the athletes. A great success, which makes it the half with the highest participation in Andalusia.
