Águilas will host a round of the ITU World Paratriathlon Events at 2016

Águilas will expand its commitment to our sport in 2016, becoming also the headquarters of a stop for the ITU World Paratriathlon Events. Firm in its commitment to sports, the Murcian city will receive the best paratriathletes in the middle of next May.

The first round will be held in Buffalo City between the 19 and 20 for March. After the premiere of the season in South Africa, at the end of April it will land in Penrith (Australia) the days 23 and 24. May will end the Paralympic qualifying period, with Águilas and Yokohama becoming the last venues to award points for the big event. Rio de Janeiro. The city of Yokohama will receive the event coinciding with the dispute of a new stage of the Triathlon World Series from 14 to 15 in May.

Then the French town of Besançon y Strathclyde (United Kingdom) will host the same weekend (4 and 5 of June) the next two competitions of the calendar. The Scottish city will be the only one to make its debut in this edition of the circuit. In the absence of the final closure of venues, the last stop scheduled in the calendar will take place in Iseo-Franciacorta (Italy) at the end of June (the 25 and 26 days of the month).
