Antón Ruanova South American triathlon champion

He gets his first victory as a Brazilian

 

Anton Ruanova he could not have a better debut in his dream of competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. After an 2015 away from ITU competitions this 2016 has started a project of 4 years under the Brazilian flag to try to run with the best in the WTS and fight to be in the Tokyo Olympics.

The race chosen for the debut was the South American Triathlon Championship in Valparaiso (Chile), although the race had to be shortened when the cycling sector was eliminated and finally a swim was made in the new swim + race formation. (1500m and 10k).

Ruanova dominated the competition from start to finish, where he came out of the water first with a 30 '' advantage over the rest of the pursuers who could do nothing to reach him in the 10 kilometers of running.

First victory as a Brazilian and valuable points to be able to compete in a World Cup soon. The 2ª position was for the Chilean Gaspar Riveros and the 3ª for the Brazilian Brunos Matheaus.
