This weekend the Triathlon World Cups begin

Cape Town will be in charge of starting the ITU Triathlon World Cup circuit, which this year will feature 16 tests around the world

The circuit of Triathlon World Cups Starts at Cape (Sudafrica), to then go to the Australian city of Mooloolaba where 13 will host a test. The action continues on this continent with the return of New Plymouth in New Zealand.

China will host two World Cup events. The first will be in Chengdu who returns to the circuit, while Weihai will host his first World Cup. The circuit continues with Miyazaki (Japan) and Tongyeong (Korea), thus adding four events in the Asian continent.

Europe will host five events. Two cities debut in the calendar: Huelva (Spain), and Carlsbad (Czech Republic)

Spain hosts two World, Huelva and Madrid events

Madrid returns to this calendar after nine years, although having hosted several ITU events since 2008. Tiszaujvaros will receive the athletes for 21ª time, and Cagliari returns again.

The American continent will have four World Cups in four countries, with three cities debuting in this calendar. Salinas (Ecuador) returns for the second time. Mexico adds Mérida to the list of debutants. Other debutants are Sarasota (USA) and Buenos Aires (Argentina), where the last 2017 World Cup will take place.
