Camila Alonso, the most awaited return

One of the great joys of the national triathlon in this 2015 has been the return to the competition of Camila Alonso.

Camila Alonso cerred 2013 with a great Championship of Spain in Olympic distance where he managed to be 11ª of the general with only 19 years, even in junior age. Last year was his first year as sub23, but unfortunately due to continuous injuries in soleus and twins practically she could not compete, and it was a very hard year for her, as she was not able to recover well from her injuries.

For this season 2015 received a external scholarship to train in the CGTD of Pontevedra, physical problems gradually disappeared and I could start training normally. During the winter months he has achieved a very good preseason and all this work is paying off.

The first joy came in Oropesa (Castellón) where with his team the Ferrol Triathlon Club got the victory in the Copa del Rey and in the Spanish Championship by relays.

At the end of June came the great day of Camila, in Pontevedra, where she trains with the silver medal in the Spanish Sprint Championship, with a great bike comeback where he marked the best time and finishing the competition with a solid race on foot. He also added the title of Campeona of Spain sub23, being today its best competition.

After many months of hardship at last Camila was able to demonstrate the great triathlete that she has inside, for me personally that I follow her for several years was a great joy, since I know everything she has suffered with her injuries. It ended this weekend in Pontevedra with the silver medal in the Championship of Spain sub23 of Acuatlón.

But Camila's winning streak does not end here, because this past weekend got 3 new national titles, this time with the Galician team in the Spanish Autonomies Championship for women, the mixed relay and the joint general.

All these triumphs make Camila the Spanish triathlete with more medals in FETRI competitions of 2015 (6 golds and 2 silver)

Camila will close this first block of the season next weekend at the Banyoles U23 European Championship, where she will try to achieve her best result in an international event. Later, she will rest a bit to prepare for the 2 great goals at the end of the season: the Spanish Olympic Distance Championship and the U23 World Championship.
