Altafulla hosts this weekend the Spanish Triathlon Championship

The town of Altafulla receives this weekend the Spanish Triathlon Championship in Olympic distance with more than 700 triathletes 

On Saturday the elite and paratriathlon events will be held while on Sunday it will be the turn of the age groups. The start of the women's event will be on Saturday at 16:00 p.m. with the departure of 77 women, breaking all participation records.

On the starting line we can see Tamara Gómez, second last year Sara Loehr champion of Spain MD, , Anna Godoy, María Ortega, Marta Sanchez, the Alonso sisters, Natalia Raña o Sara Bonilla , third last year, are some of the candidates for the title.

The start of the men's event will begin at 18: 45 where Uxio Abuin , current champion of Spain will try to revalidate the title achieved in Águilas (Murcia). But you will not have it easy since the hospitalizations Pablo Dapena, Ricardo Hernández,  Francesc Godoy, David Castro, Antonio Serrat, Nan Oliveras , Miguel Ángel Fidalgo o Emilio Aguayo, Champion of Spain MD They will try to fight for the final victory.
