Aguilar de Campoo hosted the Spanish Quadriathlon and Cros Triathlon Championships

Throughout the weekend are being held in the town of Aguilar de Campoo several Championships of Spain

From the 17: 00 in the afternoon began the Spanish Championship of Triathlon Cros with the categories Cadet, Junior and Paratriathlon; that with a circuit on distance sprint (1 lap of 500 m of swimming, 1 of cycling of 13 km and 1 final of foot race of 3 km) initiated the second championship of the day. Later it was the turn of the age groups, for starting at seven in the afternoon start the main course with the two elite competitions.

The men's competition was a one-on-one between Kevin Tarek (Cidade Lugo Fluvial) 1: 26: 51, who played with the field factor in his capacity as Castilian Leonese; Y Roger Serrano (Ferrer Hotels); but during the cycling segment, Roger Serrano (1: 27: 21), suffered a fall, which relegated him to second place. Although they arrived very close to the second transition, Kevin was able to maintain the first position, and full of pride and kissing the ground, proclaiming Champion of Spain for the second year in a row. The podium completed Nil Riudavets (1: 30: 56).

For its part, the women's competition had its differentiating point in cycling, where Laura Gomez, with the fastest partial, was proclaimed Champion of Spain with a time of 1: 44: 39 and with a comfortable advantage over Sara Bonilla (1: 45: 11) and María Varo (1: 48: 37).

Classification of the Spanish Crosthia Triathlon Championship

At three-thirty the exit to the Spanish Quadriathlon Championship, in which the almost one hundred athletes would complete a first swimming segment of 500 meters, a return to a circuit of 2.000 meters of canoeing, 13 km of mountain biking, and start the last 3 km of foot race

In the male elite category, the great dominator of the competition was the Asturian Rubén Tuset (Triathlon Santander), who arrived highlighted Aguilar de Campoo, and faced the last kilometers of foot race with total comfort to win the title of Champion of Spain with a total time of 1: 02: 19, ahead of Damián Vindel (1: 04: 20) and Álvaro Sabater (1: 07: 28). In the female elite category, the competition was dominated from beginning to end by the Andalusian Ana Ruz (AD Sevilla) that with a time of 1: 12: 37 has proclaimed itself again champion of Spain, in this case ahead of Estibaliz Ruiz (1: 20: 18) and Gema Fernández (1: 23: 50). The quadriathlon was completed with the Junior and Age Groups categories.
