Cascais Triathlon breaks all records with 1.200 triathletes
Bruno Pais and Katarina Larsson win the Cascais Triathlon
The seven times champion of Portugal triathlon and winner of the first edition of Cascais Triathlon Bruno Pais, has managed to revalidate the title in the second edition of the event.
Bruno Country got the victory in a time of 4: 08: 18 hours of average distance, practically dominating. Sérgio Marques I occupy the second place (4:14:12) and in third place went to Jorge Duarte (4:20:34) in the test held in the Bay of Cascais.
This second edition has surpassed all the records, with more than 1.200 athletes in all the tests
In the female category the winner was the triathlete Katarina Larsson with a time of 4: 48: 43. Kataria is European Champion in the triathlon in her age group and was already second in the first edition of this test.
The second classified was Vanessa Pereira (4:54:07). Vanessa was the first Portuguese woman to participate in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. The third place went to Ana Filipa Santos, who completed the test in 4:58:12.
La Olympic Plus test 266 athletes participated, where the winners were Pedro Silva y Sarah Coutts.
Cascais Triathlon has brought together 1.200 participants in the two days of competition where 20% of the participation has been foreigners where Spain was the most represented, followed by France, England and Germany.
The event was organized by 3 IRON Sports, in collaboration with the City Council of Cascais and with the technical support of the Triathlon Federation of Portugal
As we announced the week, past Cascais Triathlon will become part of the IRONMAN family, so from now on it will be called Ironman 70.3 Cascais Portugal.
