Challenge bets on Madrid for 2017

Challenge Spain announced this morning in Madrid that will host a long distance test in the Community of Madrid next 24 September 2017.

Today has been presented at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid the new long distance triathlon to be held in the Community of Madrid in September of 2017

Three are the characteristics that above all mark the personality of Challenge Madrid since its birth:

The beauty of the places where its three disciplines take place: the reservoir of Riosequillo de Buitrago de Lozoya, Miraflores de la Sierra, Rascafría, Cotos, Navacerrada, Guadarrama, the Escorial ... until the entrance to the city by Casa de Campo, Madrid River and Puerta del Sol

The hardness of the route: the bike section recovers the famous return to the ports with the ascents of Canencia, Morcuera and Cotos; and the layout of the marathon runs almost entirely through Madrid Río Y and the finish line is located in the very heart of Madrid: La Puerta del Sol.

The presentation was attended by D. Pablo Salazar Gordon, General Director of Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid, D. Javier Odriozola, General Director of Sports of the Madrid City Council, Ivan Raña, Maria Pujol,  Zibi Szlufcik CEO of Challenge Family and Juanan Fernández Director of Challenge Spain

María Pujol is scheduled to debut in this test in 2017, while Ivan Raña Although you would like to participate in the test, you will be focused on the Hawaii Ironman. His next targets are Lima and Austria to seek his classification.

Both agreed on the requirement of the test rewarded by the spectacular nature of the route.

The test opens registrations next December 12
