Circuits of the I Triathlon Guadiana Media and Long Distance

The test will be held next October 20, where the triathletes can choose between playing the Guia Triathlon of Medium or Long Distance.

Isla Canela, hamlet of the town of Ayamonte, in Huelva, next to the mouth of the Guadiana River will be the epicenter of this first edition of the  Guadiana Triathlon of Medium and Long Distance, a competition organized by Byon Sports Events

Isla Canela offers all the ideal factors for the organization of the I Triathlon Guadiana, a quiet place, with easy access, ample area for the location of boxes, and a spectacular goal next to Hotel Barcelo

Swimming:

Guadiana Triathlon swimming circuit

El Triathlon Guadiana Long Distance will start with the  3.800 meters of swimmingn, divided into two laps of 1.900 to a perfectly signalized circuit with buoys that will be located between the beach of Isla Canela and the tongue of sand of Isla Canela, that is to say in a place of calm waters so that the athletes can make a comfortable swimming.

In the case of those who prefer to bet on the Guadiana Mid Distance Triathlon, the swimming will be 1.900m, that is, one round.

Cycling:

One of the great attractions of I Triathlon Guadiana Long Distance is the spectacular and fast cyclist circuit, with the River Guadiana as a great protagonist, since much of its layout runs along the river.

After finishing the swim the triathletes will go to Ayamonte and subsequently they will address San Silvestre de Guzmán where will be the 30 kilometer. From San Silvestre they will continue until Villanueva, the point of "higher" altitude of the circuit, just 200m which gives us an idea of ​​the little unevenness that the test will have. From Villanueva it turns to address The Granado, where you already take the HU-6400 road towards Portugal.

The triathletes will cross the Guadiana River for the first time until reaching the town of Mértola, where will be the 90 km. Then they will take south direction towards Alcoutin, in a section where we can find a steep slope that will be good for the triathletes to change the position on the bike a bit after so many flat kilometers. In Alcoutin, kilometer 125, begins one of the most spectacular and beautiful stretches of the entire route, with a road next to the Guadiana River, where the triathletes will ride for more than 25 km to reach Alzinzal, where a few kilometers later they will cross the Guadiana again Ponte Internacional do Guadiana, km 155, to go back to Ayamonte, where only 10km will be left to finish the beautiful and fast cycling circuit that will end in Isla Canela.

As far as the Triathlon Guadiana Media Distancia is concerned, the circuit is 90 kms round trip. The first 45km are identical to the Long Distance route to the town of Castillejos, where the participants of the MD triathlon will take a turn of 180 degrees and will return by the same route to the T2 on Isla Canela Beach.

Race on foot:

El I Triathlon Guadiana Larda Distance It will end with the classic marathon. The segment consists of 42 km, divided into four laps of 10,5 km, which run through the Isla Canela boardwalk and its continuation along Pelicano street in a stretch next to the sea, then at the point of return take the street Cisnes and the road next to the canyon Pozo, a quiet place in the middle to return back to the avenue of the beach the goal area next to Hotel Barceló Isla Canela
