Official release of the Iberman LD

The organization has sent us a statement with the intention of quoting some rumors about the cancellation of the test

This is the full statement:

"Given the rumors about the possible suspension of the LD 2015, we want to make a point that you should know before making judgments.

Sports events can receive permission or not, until a few days of the celebration.

An example, the LD of the past 14 of June received the OK of the DGT the 9 of June. But we were calm because several months before, as in this case, they did not confirm that there would be no problems.

This year we have done exactly the same as in the four tests that we have organized, for several months they have the documentation and the requested permission, but the situation in the Traffic Sub-sector in Huelva has changed, and today, according to what they have let us know , do not have the minimum number of personnel to guarantee the security of the test, something vital for us.

Because of the good treatment we have with them, they have told us this bad news, that is NOT final, and that we hope will be resolved in the next few days, because both for you and for us, there are many hours of training and work behind a test of this magnitude.

Other organizations play it, they endure it and they are able to suspend it in the previous days. We are not like that, because we know the effort that each athlete puts into training this type of tests.

We could look for other alternatives, wait until the last minute and say days before it will be done entirely in Portugal where they would be happy, we would have less costs ... but that is not the end, neither of us, nor of this test that differs from the rest precisely in the fact of being the ONLY LD OF THE WORLD that is celebrated between two countries.

We have put as the deadline of a yes or no, the next 9 of July.

Until then we can only wait and try to solve everything.
