Less than 70 days for 1.400 dualtetas to participate in the Duathlon World Championship in Avilés

 

Next weekend in the Spanish Duathlon Championship that will take place in Cerdanyola will be one of the key events facing the allocation of seats for the avilesina appointment. For this reason, and in order to remind all duathletes of the steps to follow, we remind you of the participation criteria for the Age Group categories.

Duathletes can choose between playing the Duathlon World Championship in sprint distance (with drafting allowed) or in standard distance, in which drafting will not be allowed.

The Spanish Triathlon Federation, with the aim of facilitating and supporting the participation of Spanish duathletes, will subsidize the 50% of the registration fee, going from the original price of 200 € to the amount of 100 € for Spanish athletes.

As an organizing country, Spain will have 25 seats that will be granted based on the following criteria:

1. Up to 15 places per Age Group in the Spanish Duathlon Championship, Cerdanyola del Valles 2016, under the following criteria:

to. Elite participants who finish the Cerdanyola competition and formalize their registration in the World Championship in Age Groups.
b. Sort order in each Age Group.

2. Rest of places according to individual Duathlon ranking as of April 3, 2016, after the celebration of the Spanish Championship.

3. In the event that there are free places, it will be in order of registration.

El Duathlon World Championship that will take place between the 3 and the 5 in June, has the active participation of the City Council of Avilés, the General Directorate of Sports of the Principality of Asturias, the Spanish Triathlon Federation, the Triathlon Federation of the Principality of Asturias, the Cultural Center Niemeyer and the Port of Avilés.
