In the second round of the world series it was demonstrated the world power that is our country getting the first, third and fourth place in the test.

Mario Mola got the victory, followed byRichard Murray while Fernando Alarza it was third and Javier Gómez Noya fourth, showing that he is in a great moment of form in a sprint distance test.

These are the statements of the protagonists of the race:

Mario Mola

“All the tests require us to give our best, and today I had to work hard to overcome my rivals over a distance in which it is very difficult to make a difference since all of them have a very high level.

I am very happy to achieve victory again in this city and with it my first win of the season. "

Javier Gómez Noya

"I think I did good competition, very consistent. I was ahead in the swim and I tried to go cycling with other 4, but we ended up catching it half way. I did not do well in the second transition because we were many at the same time placing the bike and had to get on top to contact the head.

However Mario Mola I was pulling very hard and I ended up staying with Fernando Alarza, unable to follow Mario and Murray and in the end Fernando surpassed me in the fight for third place.

I congratulate the three, because I did everything I could and they were better. This helps me to continue training hard against the next, in May in Yokohama, again on Olympic distance. Until then I will return to Cambridge (New Zealand) where I have ideal conditions to train".

Fernando Alarza

"Fast & Furious" race today in Gold Coast. Very happy with the result and with the regularity that we are taking. Congratulations to Mario Mola who took us to the limit today and captain Javier Gómez Noya great race!

Now back home and think about the next one! “

Vicente Hernández

“Happy to be back in competition. Position 19 that leaves me satisfied, after a complicated preseason. It's time to keep adding training!"
