Today is a historic day for the Spanish Paratriathlon

The paratriathlon begins its journey in the JJ.PP. of Rio 2016 with Spain presenting four paratriathletes on the starting line of a historic event.

Today comes the day longed for by the family of readyriathlon The dream of the official premiere in the program of competitions of a Paralympic Games of this discipline

The male categories will be the first to come into play, with Spain being represented in two of the three categories that will be in contention in the vicinity of the Fort of Copacabana.

So, on Saturday 10 day from the 15: 00 Spanish peninsular time, Lionel Morales will compete in PT2, while Jairo Ruiz will do the same in category PT4. The next day, on Sunday 11 in September, it will be the turn Rakel Mateo in PT2 and Susana Rodríguez, with your guide Mabel Gallardo in category PT5.

All of them will face a first 750 m swimming in the waters of the mythical Copacabana beach. After passing through the first transition, they will make 20 km cyclists, to complete their adventure in Rio with 5 km of running on the Atlantic Avenue of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
