The 14 of March of 2015 the ilicitana Tamara Gómez she achieved the best result of her sporting career by winning the Mooloolaba World Cup (Australia), which is the last victory of a Spanish woman in a World Cup.

Two years later we want to remember this great triumph of Tamara Gómez which also meant a big step for him to be in the Rio de Janeiro JJOO one year later. Unfortunately, he could not fight to be in the games, since more than a year ago he suffered a serious injury in a vertebra that prevented him from competing in all 2016. Since Triathlon news we have been during these months interesting us for his recovery and encouraging him.

Tamara has told us how she is getting back to training and when she hopes to be able to compete again:

"Right now if I'm training and totally normal. I'm going at a different rhythm than my classmates because they're already competing and I'm still in the preseason, but I fit most of the workouts with them and in others I go at my own pace.

Tamara Gomez's victory

I will start competing in May for sure, but it all depends on how these months go and how my body and my sensations continue to evolve. I don't know which race will be the first but surely some national one. I have some in mind but I'll tell you later hehe.”
