MotoGP rider Aleix Espargaró will race the Ironman 70.3 from Pescara

The Catalan takes more than 10 seasons in the world motorcycling and this Sunday will compete in an Ironman 70.3

 

There are several athletes from different disciplines who have competed or compete in triathlon, such as former footballers Solozabal or Luis Enrique, Olympic canoeist Damian Vindel or F1 pilots Jenson Button and Roberto Merhi among many others. The 12 next June will make it the pilot of the Moto GP World Championship Aleix Espargaró at IM 70.3 in Pescara, Italy. Aleix will compete in the GGEE 25-29 category.

The Catalan takes more than 10 seasons in the world motorcycling, where he has competed in all categories from 125cc to the current MotoGP. In total he has played more than 180 World Cup races. His best result was obtained in 2014, when he was 2º in the GP of Aragón after Jorge Lorenzo.

During the last months Aleix has shared images on his social networks in his social networks. For all those motorcycle fans who do not know triathlon, we tell you that on Sunday in Pescara, Aleix will swim 1900m, then cover 90km by bike and finish with 21km on foot.
