Emilio Martín and Camila Alonso Spanish Duathlon Champions in Avilés

Advance: During the end of more than 1.700 athletes have participated in the Championship

Today it has been disputed in the city of Avilés (Asturias) Spanish Duathlon Championship, with the presence of some of the best athletes in the specialty.

The test was developed in the historic center of the city with the start and finish in the Plaza de España.

The women's event was the first to take to the streets of the city, where the victory in the race was for the Venezuelan Joselyn Brea in a time of 59: 24 followed by  Camila Alonso (59: 41), getting the Championship of Spain and for Noelia Juan Pastor (59: 46) occupying the third position.

The current world runner-up, European champion and world leader of ITU duathlon ranking Emilio Martín has not disappointed and has achieved victory

In the men's event, which began at 1 in the afternoon, we were able to see an exciting test, where the great favorite showed that he is the best in the specialty dominating the test at all times.

Emilio Martín got the victory in a time of 52: 00 followed by Antonio Benito  (52: 11) in second position and by Cristóbal Garcia Guillen (52: 15) occupying the third place on the podium
