The triathlete from Vitoria today started his way to his 11º Ironman from Hawaii with a fantastic 5 position which allowed him to add 345 points KPR

The victory has been for the Canadian Lionel Sanders, second of the German Andreas Dreitz and the australian Tim Reed

The Ironman 70.3 from California presented an interesting starting list with some of the great LD of the world as Sebastian Kienle (winner in Hawaii'14), Andy Potts, Sanders and the own Eneko Llanos.

The competition began with the 1900m swimming, the first to make this sector has been Chris Brade and 10 '' it was a stretched group led by Nicholas Kostelein, which were also Andreas Dreitz and Eneko Llanos. To 2 'of them it arrived at the T2 Kienle and even further back to 30' 'from the German the Canadian Sanders.

Soon the German Andreas Dreitz took the lead and left alone, Sanders began his comeback, scoring the best time on two wheels, but he did not manage to cut distances to the German.

When passing through the 60 km Dreitz was leading the race, with 1 'over Sam Appleton and 2' over a group that included Potts, Reed, Sanders and Kienle. Eneko Llanos circulated one minute from this small group.

In the final kilometers of cycling Dreitz further increased the advantage by coming almost 3 'to the T2 ahead of Potts, Sanders and Reed. Eneko does it to 5 'of the German in 9ª position. Kienle disappears from the top10 we do not know if due to a mechanical breakdown or a physical problem.

After the T2 Sanders begins to cut time to Dreitz, and when passing through the km 10 is only 40 '' of the German and hunts at km 13. With a half marathon in 1: 11: 42 Lionel Sanders he took the victory in the IM 70.3 of California. After he endured well Andreas Dreitz to be second and closed the podium Tim Reed. For his part, Eneko got a great 5th place thanks to his comeback on foot, where he set the third best time.

In the women's category the victory was for Hearther Wurtele, followed by Caroline Steffen and third Hearther Jackson.
