We interviewed Carlos López, who is still in the hospital recovering from the abuse he suffered while training

How are you? How are you after the hit?

Now the blows are coming out. My back and right arm hurts a lot. The leg looks like an ally and my face is laughing.

I take it with humor. I am alive. Although I am left without him Hawaii Ironman, my life and my health are above.

If you can tell us a bit about the medical part and more or less about the time they have told you about recovery

Well this is what I have at the moment:

  • Cervical sprain
  • Sprain on two fingers of the right hand.
  • Deep cut on the eyelid with orbital involvement and hematoma.
  • Bruises all over the body.
  • Break of the 70% internal coarse on all surfaces.

Being optimistic from 2 to 3 months if I do not have anything else.

We are awaiting knee resonance to see involvement of lateral ligaments, meniscus and cruciate ligament.

If any of this is confirmed we talk about 10 or 12 months and a withdrawal from all professional competition.

From Triathlon News we wish you a speedy recovery.
