"Exactly what I was waiting for: Triathlon Madrid KM0" interviewed Eva valero

After a lifetime dedicated to sports, it was not until 30 years ago when Eva discovered the triathlon by the hand of Jose Enrique Quiroga (Director of Sportraining and triathlon coach) that introduced her in this exciting "world".

With 12 seasons behind him he has been part of several teams, where he achieved national podiums in Olympic distance by quickly jumping into the long distance and today is "faithful" follower.

His most notable result was undoubtedly the victory at the 70.3 in Lanzarote at the 2014, which gave him the direct step to the 70.3 European Championship that took place last weekend in Austria.

Eva, competing in the elite and working "with groups" How do you combine it?

Making the most of time. I work in a sports facility in Francisco Fernández Ochoa, where I spend practically all my day, surrounded by sports. It is there, when I am not teaching, when I take the opportunity to train. On the weekends I work catering, which gives me the possibility of being able to pay for all trips to competitions, that's my day to day.

Any circuit in which you like to compete?

The truth is that I like to compete and long distance in general and on any circuit, but if I had to choose one in particular I would choose Lanzarote and Madrid KM0.

Madrid KM0 ... is exactly what I was waiting for ... a test in which just thinking about it excites me and puts a lump in my throat, as if it were mine, in my city and in the streets where I have passed so many times . As soon as I found out I was very clear that I was going to do it, it is possible that I was the first to confirm my presence. Who knows! .... also being Felipe Gutiérrez in between there was no doubt! More illusion still!

Taking advantage of the fact that you are from Madrid and train and compete in these circuits ... Tell us about the route?

The swimming segment, we have already done it in other tests in Madrid, the truth is that it is ideal for swimming.

The cycling segment can be hard depending on how you take it, there are 3 ports, so it will have to be dosed well, if the weather conditions are good, we will enjoy the circuit a lot because it is beautiful. 

And the part of the race, is going to be the most exciting segment, since with the change to four laps, we will have more people wrapping up with their spirits that will surely come very well-

and ... What to say about the final stretch? Just thinking about it makes my hair stand on end!
