Javier Gómez Noya starts the 2018 season with his team's victory in New Zealand

The Galician triathlete has competed in a relay event during his training in New Zealand.

The New Zealand Anneke Jenkins (Noya's partner), Javier Gómez Noya y Óscar Vicente (Physiotherapist from Noya) formed a team in the Half Port of Tauranga where they have achieved victory in the race.

Anneke Jenkins invested 27:11 to complete the 1.900 meters of the route, while Gómez Noya completed the 90 km of cycling in 2:08:38 and the third member of the team Óscar Vicente took 1:24:05 to run the final 21 km getting the victory in the relay test with a time of 4:01:33.

Noya, who is concentrated on the island, plans to compete individually in the Cannes Triathlon in next April 29.
