Spain will receive two ITU Triathlon World Cups at 2017

The cities of Madrid and Huelva will host two of the World Circuit Triathlon World Cup events

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) has just announced the calendar of the circuit of the Triathlon World Cups for the next season. A year in which Spain will become the venue for two World Cups.

Madrid go one step further and in 2017 will host a World Cup for some renovated circuits that will go into some of the main arteries of the capital. Thanks to the constant support and confidence of the City Council of Madrid, in 2017 the city will go one step further, hosting a competition of the highest level. Thus, the Royal Palace will witness an exciting competition that will take place between the 27 and 28 in May. At the same time, Huelva will join the ITU calendar with the celebration at the end of September in the Andalusian town of a round of the circuit.

Calendar World Cups 2017 Triathlon

Previously, the ITU has designated Cape as the inaugural venue for next season. An appointment that will take place between the 11 and 12 in February in the city of Sudafrican republic. Next, you will travel to Oceania for the following appointments: Mooloolaba (Australia) from 11 to March 12, and New Plymouth (New Zealand) the first weekend of the month of April. After nine years, the capital of Madrid will once again organize a World Cup. Twenty days later, Spain will receive the second World Cup of the season, between 23 and 24, in Huelva.

The month of October will arrive loaded with competitions, starting in Weihai (China) and Cozumel (Mexico), with two competitions the same weekend (30 in September and 1 in October). The following week he will move to the US for the dispute of a new test in Sarasota. To complete an intense month, the 28 and 29 days, two competitions will be held, in Salinas (Ecuador) and Tongyeong (Korea). In November the World Cup will land in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the same weekend, 4 and 5 of the month, the Japanese city of Miyazaki will develop the last stage of the 2017 circuit.

A season in which the World Cups will add a total of 17 stages spread around the five continents. Some events of enormous caliber in a year in which Spain will become one of the only three countries that will receive more than one round of the circuit.
