Spanish bound for Hawaii 2015 (part 2)

At Lóleo Eventos, Part of this article we already present several Spanish women who will try to participate in the Ironman World Championship In Hawaii, now in this second part we are going to present the Spanish triathletes with whom we have been able to contact who were top 10 in their respective age group in 2014 and who in 2015 are planning to run an IM with the intention of improving their results for the year past ... and why not dream of the glory of Kona

Group Age 25-29

Raquel del Águila, triathlete of the Tri For Fun of Barcelona, ​​he played the one that to date is his only Ironman in Lanzarote where he managed to be 4ª. In this 2015 will compete in the IM of Nice in the next month of June.

Cristina Prat (In 2014 he belonged to the club Triatló el Prat and this year to the Infinitri), he played two Ironmans, being 9ª in Frankfurt and 5ª in Barcelona. To date, he has competed in 6 Ironmans, his next will be Ironcat, IM Zurich and maybe IM Mallorca in September.

Last Arrate Mintegui it was 7ª in the IM of Barcelona, ​​but this year it will not run any test with the intention of qualifying for Hawaii.

 

Group Age 30-34

Ana Faus (CEA Bétera) disputed last year the IM Zurich where he was 10ª and the IM Cozumel where he got the 7ª plaza. To date today 8 Ironmans has run. His main objective was IM South Africa a few weeks ago, this year in the 35-39 group, where he ran injured and finished in 18ª position. At the moment his main objective is to recover from the injury and he has not planned to run any more Ironman this year.

Lucia Pérez (Club Triathlon Devils of Rivas) debuted last year in Ironman, specifically in the IM of Austria where he was 5. For 2015 its main objective is the IM of Lanzarote the next 23 of May, where he will try to get the classification for Hawaii, his dream, where he was already in 2014 as a spectator

As Lucia Alba Reguillo She made her Ironman debut last year, in her case in Mallorca where she was 7ª, as she told us her main objective was to finish the competition, so she faced the cycling sector very quietly, while in the race on foot she got the second best time of all the participants. This season he planned to run the IM in Nice in June but an injury will prevent him from doing so as the assault on Kona leaves him for 2016. In September we will see her compete in the IM Mallorca.

To finish this section we will present Noelia Mora (CT Cidade de Lugo Fluvial), who also debuted in IM in 2014 being 3ª, although Noelia had already played 5 times the LD Spain cto. In 2015 it will not try the classification for Kona, (but it will try it in 2016) possibly disputes in September the triathlon of distance Ironman KM0 of Madrid and the cto. of LD Spain in Ibiza in October.

Group Age 35-39

Gema Hernández he is triathlete of the club Tolosaldeko Triatloi Taldea, he has played 2 IMs to date, his debut was in the Challenge Vichy'13 and last year he played the IM Zurich where he was 6ª. Gema does not intend to dispute any IM in 2015 ... why will the IM 70.3 World Championship in Austria in August, race for which he qualified last September in the 70.3 in Lanzarote.

Maria Jesus Sierra (CD Sohail Traitlón) has played to date 6 triathlons of distance IM, obtaining last year the 7ª plaza in Lanzarote and the 5ª of Cozumel. In 2015 has already played the South African IM ... also will run the IM Lanzarote, the IM Mallorca and the Iberman in October.

 

María Jesús Sierra

 

Yolanda Santos Lamata (Club Triathlon Guadalajara) has played 4 Ironmans highlighting the second place in his age group in Lanzarote'11 where he renounced the slot of Kona and the Challenge of Barcelona'12 which was Cto. from Spain, where 4ª was left to 8 '' of the bronze medal. Last year he was 8ª in his age group in the IM of Mallorca. This year 2015 its main objective will be the mythical Embrunman.

Group Age 40-44

In this age group we have previously presented to Carmen Brahim y Ruth Varona who were Finishers in Kona in 2014.

Group Age 45-49

Susana Román He belongs to the Ceuta Triathlon Club, he has played 7 Ironmans, 5 of them in Lanzarote, where he obtained his best result last year, being 5th. In 2014 she was also 10th at IM Mallorca. For 2015 it is still to decide if he will participate in the IM of Zurich or the IM of Vichy in France, in one of the two he will try to improve his 5th place in LZ2014.

 

Susana Román

Group Age 50-54

Maria Angeles Torres club Trialandalus, has participated in 6 Ironmans, in 2014 was 9ª in IM Barcelona. For this 2015 intends to play 4 Ironmans: Lanzarote, Wales, Mallorca and Cozumel.

Inés Hernández club triathlete Ohana Triathlon, has played 5 Ironmans, the five in Lanzarote without interruption from 2010 to 2014. In this last year he obtained his best result being 6ª. In 2015 will return to dispute the most mythical Ironman of Spain, Lanzarote, with the intention of improving the 6ª place last year ... and dreaming of Hawaii.

Finally we want to quote Patricia Bueno (Club Aquaslava + Ktri), in 2014 disputed the Full Ican Gandia, but did not run any IM of the Ironman franchise. She was one of the only two Spaniards in Kona in 2013 (along with Mabel Gallardo), and in 2015 she will try to return to Mecca. He will look for the slot in Lanzarote where he will try to qualify for Hawaii in the 25-29 age group.
