The Spanish Federation of Triathlon will receive a grant of about 1 million euros to face the Olympic Games

The improvement in the economic situation of the country, with an increase in the contribution by the General State Budgets, as well as the celebration of the next Olympic Games have meant that the average increase for the different federations is 23,9%.

In total the Spanish Sports Federations will receive in 2016 a subsidy of more than 46 million euros where the Spanish Federation of Triathlon you will receive the amount of 978.618,34 € thus obtaining the 100% of the requested quantity, which represents an increase of 24% with respect to the 2015 year

El Superior Sports Council, through its General Director, Oscar Graefenhain, today sent the letters with the provisional grant proposal to all the Spanish Sports Federations, which will receive 2016 more than 46 million 7euros (46.102.155,19).

The improvement in the economic situation of the country, with an increase in the contribution by the General State Budgets, as well as the celebration of the next Olympic Games have meant that the average increase for the different federations is 23,9%.

The federations with the highest percentages are swimming (4.002.550,30), athletics (3.823.978,58), sailing (2.394.000), canoeing (2.381.228,58), basketball (2.124.475,11), handball (1.993.077,56), winter sports (1.889.487,12), cycling (1.870.193,27), and gymnastics (1.536.482,32).

There are 24 sports federations that will fully receive the 100% of the amount they requested from the General Sports Directorate of the CSD last year 2015.

A special effort has also been made to provide funds to federations of disabled athletes (physical, intellectual, blind, deaf and cerebral palsy), which in total will have 1,2 millions of euros for their activities.

There are 3 sports federations that will not have the corresponding subsidy: football, for not meeting the requirements, caving, for being in a situation of bankruptcy, and hunting, which requested public aid after the deadline.
