End of the year: Triathletes in San Silvestres

With the end of the year, the traditional San Silvestre races arrive, nowadays 30 and tomorrow 31 of December will surely be the days of the year with more popular races of the Spanish geography.

 

 

But before, there have already been a great number of Christmas races, San Silvestres and other characteristic end-of-year sports events, such as the Autonomous Swimming Championships, the turkey races, etc ...

The Catalan triathletes were the first to shoot the final fire. Some days ago Judith Corachán won the climb to Castell de Castelldefels, a test of 5k. For its part Dolça Ollé won the 10k of Salou and Sara Loehr he finished 6th in the San Silvestre de Viladecans, which was also a 5km regional road championship.

On 24 and 25 days several races were held with the participation of triathletes. Anna Noguera won in the Cursa del Gall de Capellades, 4,6km, and in the same community, Marta Sanchez also managed to win in the race Ponts del Ter of 5km. Following in the north, at the Cross de la Ballenza in Oteiza, victory for Raul Amatriain in the 10km test.

In Andalucia Mª Jesús Sierra won the "V Solidarity Race SS Jerezana" of 8km. On the other hand Ana Carvajal He played an 1500ml on the track yesterday and today will run an 3000. In Valencia in the San Silvestre de Moncada, of 3,6km, double of the premises, with victory for Emilio Aguayo and second position for Diego Robles.

Finally we want to highlight the Nadal Cup on the road of les Aigües, in Barcelona. Organized by triathletes Blanca Trenas y Jordi Olivella Most of the participants in this race, 5k of soft trot and then 5k of pure "race" are duathletes or triathletes, so both the male podium (Adria Navarro, Jordi Alba and Jose Luis Garcia) as the feminine (Juliana Villasante, Montse Aranda and Raquel del Águila) They were plagued by triathletes or duathletes.

On the other hand we emphasize that several triathletes are competing between the 28 and 30 of December the Galician Swimming Championships, they are: Sara Guerrero, Ines Santiago, Luismi Velasquez, Antonio Serrat and Alberto Castiñeira.
