Noya and Jorgensen faced this last stage with many options to win in the final general. Today's stage was a sprint triathlon in "persecution" format, as we told yesterday's preview.

 

 

Today was the final stage of the "Island House Invitational Triathlon", the test that has been played these last three days in the Bahamas organized by billionaire Mark Holowesko and has a bag of half a million euros to distribute among 20 of the best triathletes in the world in all distances (10 men and 10 women) who have been invited to the event.

Noya and Jorgensen faced this last stage with many options to win in the final general. Today's stage was a sprint triathlon in "persecution" format, as we had in the previous yesterday.

Noya has taken the start first, after the 34 '' Murray has done it, then Tim Don to 49 '' of Javi and so on the rest of the triathletes have done so. The winner of the stage today was Cam Dye, winning the three dominators of the race the previous days. Dye has based his stage victory in a very strong cycling sector where he has been not only the only one to get off 31 'but also from 30, getting into this segment 1'25' 'to Noya and 1'10' 'to Murray . The second position of the stage was for Javier Gómez Noya and the third for the South African.

With regard to the final general victory as it could not be otherwise has been for Javier Gómez Noya with a total time of 3: 08: 21. The second place for Richard Murray with 3: 09: 42 and the third one for Tim Don with a total time of 3: 11: 13.

Gwen Jorgensen wins the overall Island House Triathlon.

As far as women's competition is concerned, Gwen Jorgensen was the first to take the start with Duffy over 30 '' and Norden over 1 '. In this third stage the current ITU world champion has not been able to take the victory, and this has been for the Olympic runner-up Lisa Norden, who like Dye in men has based his triumph in the cycling sector where they have achieved an advantage superior to the minute with the rest of rivals. Second in the stage was Jorgensen and third Duffy.

 As regards the final general, incontestable victory of Gwen Jorgensen with a time of 3: 27: 47, second has been Lisa Norden with 3: 28: 54 and third Flora Duffy with a time of 3: 28: 54.

To finish you have to remember that there were also prizes for the best in the total times of each sector, in women the best swimmer was Lauren Brandon, the best cyclist Lisa Norden and the best in the race on foot Gwen Jorgensen. In men Noya has been the best swimmer and the best in running and Cam Dye the best in the cycling sector.
