Gustavo Rodríguez and Judith Corachán win the Zarautz Triathlon

Gustavo Rodríguez gets his second consecutive victory after being proclaimed MD Spain Champion in Guadalajara and Judith Corachán returns to climb to the top after the victory in Challenge Salou

Today has been played one of the oldest triathlons in Spain triathlon of Zarautz where its XXXII edition has been held. The competition has been carried out under the classic Olympic double distance (2,9km-78km-20km).

Swimming has been  2,9km on a cruise from the Malkorbe beach in Getaria to the Zarautz beach. Later the triathletes faced 78km of cycling, with the rise to the port of Maegas (twice per turn) and the Aia Wall with ramps of almost the 20%  and they have dug with 20 km of running race by the urban helmet of Zarautz finalizing the test in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

In the men's event, the first to come out of the water was David Castro, closely followed by Jordi García and Jon Unanue.In the cycling sector, Miguel Ángel Fidalgo was climbing positions to be at the head of the race at km 30, to finish the sector as leader, followed by Gustavo Rodriguez and David Castro.

In the Galician race on foot Gustavo Rodríguez he was cutting time to Fidalgo to finally get the victory in the last meters, Fidalgo he entered second and David Castro occupied the third final position Iván Raña finished in sixth position but was disqualified.
