A triathlete who broke the front wheel in the cyclist segment, completed the segment with the bike in tow to finish the race.

Yesterday at the Xterra Rincon de la Victoria, where the malagueño Rubén Ruzafa got the title of champion of Spain of the modality, we could see a story of one of the anonymous athletes who make this sport great.

One of the triathletes participating in the race suffered a  fall in the 16 kilometer of the cycling segment when I was in 15ª position, destroying the front wheel of your bike and losing all the options of achieving a good result. Nevertheless this inconvenience did not stop him from finishing the circuit, and instead of abandoning the triathlete completed the kilometers of this segment that he was missing so he could later face the 10 km of running and enter, regardless of the position achieved, by the coveted goal arch of the XTerra Spanish Championship.

Javier Fernández of the Triathlon Villagarcía club (dorsal 125) finished the race giving a example to everybody of perseverance and resilience, coming to be congratulated by several of the professional triathletes and by all the public present in this event.

A nice example that shows the sports values that can be extrapolated to our day to day, since not everything consists in making the best possible position, but in knowing how to enjoy it and face, in the best way, the adversities that may arise along the way.
