The 70.3 Ironman World Championship in 2017 returns to the United States

Ironman has announced that the World Championship in 70.3 distance (1,9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running) will be held in the United States.

 

3 cities of this country have been selected as finalists to host this championship, Chattanooga in Tennessee,  Lake Placid, in New York and  St. George in Utah.

The novelty for this championship is that the competition will be held for two days in a row, separating the competition by sex, competing the professional female category and age groups one day and the boys on the other.

This year the World Championship will be held in Europe for the first time in its history in  SalzburgerLand, Austria. For the 2016 Australia will be the host of the championship.
