Ironman 70.3 Cascais-Portugal, in search of excellence

 This year the first edition of IM 70.3 of Cascais was a success, exhausting the entries and getting more than 2000 finishers.

In 2018 the Portuguese city of Cascais will once again house the Ironman 70.3 from Cascais-Portugal, this time it will be late September, the 30 day (this year was early, the September 3) a great opportunity to finish the season running on 70.3 distance in a test contrasted with an impeccable organization.

The circuits

Swimming will have the background Fortress of Cuidadela, one of the most emblematic of Portugal. Subsequently, the triathletes will pedal for 90 km of cycling enjoying the spectacular landscape of the Atlantic Ocean where they will cross the Sintra forest to return to Cascais along the Praia do Gincho road, "The place where the earth ends and the sea begins".

Classification for the Nice World Championship 2019

The Ironman Cascais will also be one of the first Ironmans 70.3 to qualify for the Nice World Championship of 2019, so it will be the first opportunity mainly for Spaniards, Portuguese and other Europeans to get their qualification for a World Cup that is close to home and that returns to the old continent after four years of absence.
