Iván Alvarez confirms his attendance to Challenge Salou 2017

Joins the long list of international PRO athletes in the test is to 50 places to hang the "Sold out" sign

Challenge Salou confirms the participation of Iván Alvarez. The current winner of the Marina d'OR Pure Triathlon 226 and the Vitoria Triathlon, also top 20 in its category in the Kona Ironman World Championship, will be in the third edition of Challenge Salou, which will be held on May 28. The 39-year-old from Madrid is one of the best long-distance triathletes in the country.

The triatelles will have to face 1.900 meters of swimming, 90 kilometers by bike and 21 kilometers of running on the promenade of Salou where 25.000 € will be distributed in prizes.

The test maintains the circuit of the other editions. It will start at the Levante beach, on Paseo Jaume I; It will continue until l'Hospitalet de l'Infant in the section of bicycle to unique return where the triathletes will be able, of exclusive way, to "fly" by an A7 motorway closed to the traffic for the event and they will finish with the segment on foot by the Jaume walk I, what supposes a very fast circuit and is that until more than 10 triathletes have surpassed the barrier of 4h in this circuit.

On the other hand has also presented the official backpack of the test that will be a gift for participants in the middle distance and relay.

The new Challenge Salou backpack, is a multifunctional backpack with several separate compartments to carry all the triathlon equipment. With this design "we wanted to provide the athlete with an accessory that he can use in his day to day". says the organization in a statement

The test that has already passed 940 participants and makes available to triathletes the 50 last places for the test. In this edition the origin of the registered, to date, exceed the 22 countries. The registration period will end when the 1.000 participants arrive.
