Iván Raña will be in the Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote

This year Ivan will only run 2 ironman, Lanzarote and Hawaii

 

A few days ago we announced the possibility of the participation of the Ironman World Champion Jan Frodeno if he recovers from an injury and is now Ivan Raña who announces that he will go to Lanzarote.

As he comments in an interview with the sports stadium newspaper, the Club la Santa Ironman Lanzarote is the goal of the Galician. The main objective of the season is the World Championship in Hawaii, but due to the XXV edition of Lanzarote this year he will participate in the test.

In the interview he says that this year he will do 2 ironman instead of 3 he did last season, Lanzarote and Hawaii.

In addition to those mentioned this year, Timo Bracht (Winner in Lanzarote in 2011, 3 times sub 8hs in IM and several times top10 in Kona), Romain Guillaume (Winner in Lanzarote 2014, IM Mont Tremblant 2012 and podium in different Ironmans as Nice or Malaysia), Stephen Bayliss (Winner in the IM of South Africa and the United Kingdom in 2008), Esben Hovgaard (Danish national champion) and Kim Thijs (Winner of the IM Lanzarote 2005 in GGEE 18-24 and specialist in X-Terra)

 And Miquel Blanchart (2 times 2nd in Lanzarote) who confirmed to Triathlon News a few weeks ago that “I have a pending appointment in Lanzarote”And the Spanish LD champion Carlos López will also be in the game.

In the Women's category Jeanne Collonge (double winner of Embrunman with record of the event in 2013 -10h65min43s -), Caroline Livesey (3rd in IM Lanzarote 2015), Tina Holst (2nd in IM Vichy, 4th IM Wales and 9th IM Frankfurt in 2015, in addition to 6th in Lanzarote 2006), Alexandra Tondeur (3rd IM- Mallorca 2015) and Lucy Charles (IM world champion in Kona and 70.3 in Austria in 2015 in GGEE).

 As for the national participation, as always, in the last 5 years will be the ambassador of the Club Santa Saleta Castro, who in the 4 times that has run in Lanzarote has been top7 in all of them, highlighting the 3ª plaza of 2013.
