Tomorrow 8 of October, Javier Gómez Noya will participate in the Profuturo race

They will also be on the starting line, Chema Martínez, Jesus Spain, Cristina Jordán, Elena García y Fermín Cacho.

The test, held as it is traditional, and as before under the name of Proniño race, competitions in two distances: 3 km and 10 km, the first indicated for the initiated sportsmen, or the competitive ones but more in the middle background, and the second one for the habitual ones of the tests in the background route. In addition, from the 11: 15 hours, in the same starting and finishing area, children's races will be held, for those born in 2002 and earlier, since the older ones will be able to run any of the two greater distances.

In this 2017, the ProFuturo Race wants to pay a well-deserved tribute to Fermín Cacho. The athlete from Soria is celebrating 2017 years since his gold medal at the Barcelona Olympic Games in 25, and the ProFuturo organization wanted to bring him to the event to pay him a well-deserved tribute for it, apart from Cacho participating as a most popular runner in the event.

Another star that will appear in the race, is the best Spanish triathlete of all time and the Prince of Asturias Award for Sports 2016, Javier Gómez Noya, who has been sponsored by Telefónica for some years and was already present last year in the ProFuturo Race, encouraging the athletes at the start and finish. The Galician triathlete, Olympic runner-up in London 2012, has just proclaimed himself 70.3 World Champion

But the thing does not stop here, since the athlete defending the title of the ProFuturo 2016 race will once again be in contention, we speak of nothing less than a former European champion of 5.000 meters, and an Olympian in Rio de Janeiro 2016 in Marathon, the madrileño Jesus Spain. Next to him, another former European champion, in this case of 10.000 meters, the multifaceted Chema Martínez, that was the international athlete that contributed to give luster to this initiative of the Telefónica Foundation those first years, when the race responded to the name of Proniño.

Likewise, international female athletes have confirmed their presence as Cristina Jordán (who already won here a few years ago the short distance) and Elena García Grimau.
